I did some research on my own and managed to find the answer that could possibly help you as well. When I ended this process in the task manager I was able to start the Game Capture Software without it crashing and record.

Ok cool ill give it a try once i get back in town but what if i uninstall the program you asked me to end will it mess up my laptop. You don’t need to uninstall the program, all you have to do is open the task manager and end the process which is pretty much the same thing as just closing a program using the little red X.

If you restart your laptop the program will have started up again and next time you want to use your Elgato you just need to do the above.
