I recently update my PC to win10 fall creator update. At the early version of win10 microsoft start using autologin to last user after restart if it doesn’t have a password.
And now, after update, I noticed that windows automatically sign in to users even it has a password. For example – i used pc, than i restart it and login to another user after restart. I’m opening task manager, switch to “users” tab, and there I can see, that my previous user is logged in.
Old fixes like change keys through regedit doesn’t work now. So, how can i turn this feature off now? This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

You have taken many things we take for granted and ruined or eliminated them. Please forward my comments above to your customer relations and senior management. Your dictatorial corporate strategy, which ignores customers preferences, and Windows 10 have alienated a long term customer, and from what I read on supports sites, multitudes are angry, and will be looking elsewhere in the future for computing needs to companies that cater to customers preferences. I’ll be watching to see if Microsoft improves, but my next default will be to buy products and services from a different supplier.

Perhaps I did not explain the problem I am having since I started using Windows 10 about 3 months ago.. I have two local accounts on my computer so far. We do not use passwords and don’t want to use passwords. Whenever I turn on the new laptop computer with Windows 10, it automatically logs on to the account last in use. So if the other user wants to access their account, they first have to go to my account, if I was the last one logged on, and then make a click to go to their account to boot it up.
We don’t like that. This is NOT what I want. I want the home screen to appear first with a list of all the accounts. I want that to happen every time I restart or reboot, so that the users don’t have to go to an account that isn’t theirs. This is a home computer. Your computer will now bypass the log-in page when you turn on your PC, but it will not bypass the login page when you unlock your PC. I have local accounts only. What is really frustrating is that after trying to explain and re-explain a rather simple problem, they just keep giving non-answers. But the point he seems to miss is that I don’t have a password, never had a password and don’t want a password on these accounts. Nevertheless I created a password on one of the two local accounts.
What this did was duplicate my account name on the startup screen list; clearly a bug. No matter which name I selected it asked for the password. Then I repeated the process but changed the password to no password, i. That took me back to where I started.
